Location: Linden Lane, Duxbury, MA
Project File: The original cape, built in 1778, with much interior trim intact, featuring 5 working fireplaces stands as one of Duxburys finer antiques. The addition to the left, built in the 1920's, housed a cramped kitchen and tiny bedrooms. The challenge is to bring these parts of the house into the future while paying homage to the past. The entire house with it's 5 fireplaces had to be lifted to replace a crumbling stone foundation.

Renderings done by Duxborough Designs using digital 3D modeling, enhanced with "Raytrace" technology to produce stunning lifelike visuals. (Standard with all new design development)

The addition subtlety blends with the existing roofline without overwhelming it. Much of the original house had to be rebuilt, but the existing interior trim was restored and re-used.

On the ocean side of the house lots of windows frame the view. The new addition contains a kitchen below and a master suite above. Note the cutaway roof deck in the master suite.
