The original cape, built in 1778, with much interior trim
intact, featuring 5 working fireplaces stands as one of
Duxburys finer antiques. The addition to the left, built
in the 1920's, housed a cramped kitchen and tiny
bedrooms. The challenge is to bring these
parts of the house into the future while paying homage
to the past. The entire house with it's 5 fireplaces had to be lifted to replace a crumbling stone foundation.
